Pages & CMS
Creating Static Pages
Cartly's CMS lets you create custom pages for your storefront ā about pages, contact information, FAQs, legal pages, and more.
Creating a Page
Navigate to Online Store ā Pages and click Add Page. Fill in the following fields:
- Title ā The page heading, also used as the browser tab title
- Handle ā The URL slug for the page (e.g., "about-us" creates /pages/about-us). Auto-generated from the title.
- Content ā Rich text editor with support for headings, paragraphs, lists, links, images, and embedded content
Rich Text Editor
The content editor provides a WYSIWYG experience with a toolbar for formatting:
- Headings (H1 through H4)
- Bold, italic, and underline
- Ordered and unordered lists
- Links with target options
- Image insertion
- Block quotes
- Code blocks
Visual Editor
For more complex page layouts, use the visual editor instead of the rich text editor. The visual editor offers drag-and-drop sections with full layout control. See the Visual Page Editor guide for details.
Page Templates
Select a template to control the page layout. Available templates include:
- Default ā Standard content page with header and footer
- Full Width ā Content stretches edge to edge without sidebar constraints
- Sidebar ā Content with a navigation sidebar
SEO Settings
Each page has SEO fields at the bottom of the editor:
- Meta Title ā Custom title for search engines (defaults to page title)
- Meta Description ā Custom snippet for search results (keep under 160 characters)
Pages are automatically added to your sitemap when published.
Publishing
Set the page status to Published to make it live. Draft pages are only visible in the admin panel. You can schedule publishing by saving as draft and manually publishing later.
Common Pages
Most stores need these essential pages: About Us, Contact, Shipping Policy, Return Policy, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service. Cartly provides templates for legal pages that you can customize with your store's specific policies.
