Alongside Cartly Command editing your theme, the last two weeks brought a set of smaller changes that make AI use predictable, theme editing safer and orders more complete. Here they are.

AI credits in your plan

Cartly Command now runs on monthly AI credits included in your plan: 200 on Starter, 500 on Growth, 2,000 on Pro and 7,000 on Enterprise, with the same amount during the free trial. Credits renew at the start of each calendar month. Your balance is easy to find: Billing shows an AI credits bar with the renewal date, and Command shows the share of credits you have left. The pricing page and Compare all plans in Billing list the credits of each plan.

Each request uses credits according to the work it took, and theme tasks show an estimate before they start. When credits run out, Command tells you, shows the date they renew and offers Upgrade plan; the rest of your store keeps working as usual. Read AI credits in your plan.

Version history for every theme

Every theme now keeps its own Version history. Cartly saves a version automatically before you publish changes from the visual editor on your live theme or an AI draft, switch the live theme, restore an earlier version or accept AI changes, and while you edit code (at most one every 10 minutes). The last 20 versions are kept. Open it from the theme's menu on the Themes page, pick a version and click Restore. The current state is saved first, so a restore can be undone too, and restoring the version saved before a theme switch makes that theme your store's theme again. See Restoring an earlier version of your theme.

Publishing from the visual editor is safer as well. It saves all your changes together or none of them, and if a file was changed elsewhere in the meantime, in the code editor, another tab or GitHub, the editor asks which version to keep instead of overwriting it.

Check theme

The code editor has a new Check theme button. It reads your saved theme files and lists errors and warnings: Liquid that does not parse, broken section schemas and templates, sections or snippets that do not exist, missing translations, unsafe links, scripts the storefront would block, and pages that fail to render with your store's data. Click an issue to open its file at the line. Saving is never blocked; the check is there to help. See Checking your theme for errors.

Order notes and cart details on the order page

Notes and choices your customers leave on the cart now reach you. If your cart page has an order note field, what the customer types is saved with the cart and fills in the order note at checkout, where they can review it; on the order it shows under Customer note. Other details a theme collects on the cart, such as the gift note, packaging choice and free samples of the Balm theme, show in a new Additional details block on the order page. And changes made to the same cart at the same moment, from two tabs for example, no longer overwrite each other. Read Order notes and custom attributes.

Stock theme updates

  • The Color scheme option of shared sections, such as columns, features, image gallery, logo bar, product grid and comparison table, now colors the section in every stock theme. The options are Default, Primary, Inverse and Accent.
  • In Bench, the image-with-text section has a new Dark color scheme that stays dark when a visitor switches to light mode.
  • Sticky headers in Atrium, Balm, Bench and Clarity stay at the top while you scroll, and the mobile menu in Atrium, Balm and Bench is no longer covered by other parts of the page.
  • Product cards no longer strike through a price when only another variant of the product is on sale.

See the changelog for the full list of changes.
